Our local Empowerment
Area is a community collaboration which exists to coordinate
Iowa state initiatives and board activities, and plan for Empowerment
services under school readiness/early childhood legislation. We
serve the community by providing grants to local non-profits,
which serve children ages 0-5, under our locally designated priority
areas and within state legislative requirements. Also, we administer
childcare and preschool scholarships for low-income families.
This current fiscal year we are undergoing internal restructuring
and a re-designation of our priority areas.
Our
Vision:
Working
together so every child is happy, healthy, and ready to learn.
Our

Building

through collaboration, coordination, and planning in Cerro Gordo,
Hancock, and Worth Counties.
